Laurie's paintings on canvas embody her earliest professional work as well as the emerging body of pieces she is now creating.
The abstract pieces represent her largest and most diverse body of works (see next page as well), spanning time, media, color, texture, and size. Grouped in no particular order, each of these unique pieces speaks with its own voice.
During her extensive travels in Peru, Laurie found awe and wonder in the ancient ruins—and the mystery and legends surrounding their creation. Her "Peru Series" pieces drew life from speculation about these magnificent wonders.
